Hello and welcome to my online gallery! I am a nature photographer and outdoors enthusiast and want to share with you some of my favorite images from my encounters with the big and small wonders of the natural world.   

Being in wild places, hiking off the beaten track, in silence and solitude, is not only something that I cherish but that is vital to me. It is my remedy against the mental diseases of our modern times and I will never get tired of recommending this ‘medicine’ to everybody. Nature – cheaper than therapy. 

Although I mainly use digital equipment for my work, I lately feel increasingly drawn toward film photography which is my original background. I like that it has a very rich tradition that I want to keep alive. Photographing with fully manual medium and especially large format cameras is a challenging process, tricky and prone to errors. But at the same time it is also rewarding and a lot of fun. I love the slower and contemplative approach of this kind of image making and feel that it often shows up in the quality of my photographs.
